10-year Limited Warranty - For all Bryte Mattress Products
Who is covered and when coverage begins
No product registration is required. This Limited Warranty begins on the date the Bryte Balance smart mattress is delivered to the original purchaser’s delivery address.
This Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of a new Bryte Balance smart mattress purchased from Bryte or an authorized Bryte retailer in the United States, and used in the United States. This warranty is non-transferable. Please also review Bryte’s Terms and Conditions.
This Limited Warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship, when the mattress is used normally for its intended residential sleep purpose and is set up, supported, powered, and cared for as described in this warranty and in Bryte’s documentation.
Coverage periods
Bryte Balance smart mattresses are covered by the following limited warranties, each measured from the delivery date:
- Foam and fabric components: 10 years from the delivery date — full coverage for years 1–5, then prorated coverage for years 6–10, as described under “Foam and fabric coverage” below.
- Technology components: 4 years from the delivery date - full coverage for years 1-2, then prorated coverage for years 3-4, as described under “Technology component coverage” below.
Technology components include the electronic control system, air-control and rebalancing components, sensors, connectors, power cords, power supplies, and related embedded hardware, software, and firmware.
What Bryte will do
If Bryte determines, in its reasonable discretion, that a defect is covered by this Limited Warranty, Bryte will, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, repair the Product, replace the affected component, or replace the Product, according to the coverages listed below. Replacement parts or products may be new, refurbished, functionally equivalent, or the then-current version of the applicable part or Product, and may differ in color, design, material, or construction from the original. If a repair or replacement of a Product, cover, or component takes place, the item being replaced must be returned to Bryte or otherwise disposed of as directed by Bryte.
Any replacement Product or component is warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period. No new warranty period is created by a repair or replacement.
If Bryte offers the customer the option to upgrade to a more expensive product as part of a warranty replacement, the customer may choose to do so by paying the difference between the original purchase price and the then-current price of the upgraded product. Any upgrade option is offered at Bryte’s discretion, and a new warranty will be provided for the upgraded product.
Foam and fabric coverage
Foam and fabric components are covered for 10 years from the delivery date: full coverage during years 1–5, and prorated coverage during years 6–10. During normal residential sleep use, this Limited Warranty covers:
- Visible indentation in the foam greater than one (1) inch, provided the indentation is not caused by an improper or unsupportive foundation, frame, platform, or adjustable base. This may be remedied by a foam replacement rather than a full mattress replacement.
- A physical flaw in the foam caused by defective materials or workmanship, despite proper setup and normal use.
- A physical flaw in the mattress cover, including seams and zipper assembly, caused by defective materials or workmanship.
Depending on the issue, Bryte may repair or replace the affected foam layer, cover, component, or Product. If Bryte replaces the mattress cover (the mattress encasement wrapping the foam), it will be replaced with the current style of cover available for the Product, which may differ in color, design, or material from the original.
Years 1–5 (full coverage): Bryte covers the full cost of a covered repair or replacement of the affected foam layer, cover, or Product. Transportation and shipping costs may apply to the purchaser except where prohibited by law.
Years 6–10 (prorated coverage): Bryte covers a declining percentage of the then-current cost of a covered repair or replacement, and the purchaser pays the remainder, plus applicable shipping, handling, taxes, and service costs except where prohibited by law.
- Year 6: Bryte covers 85% (purchaser pays 15%).
- Year 7: Bryte covers 70% (purchaser pays 30%).
- Year 8: Bryte covers 55% (purchaser pays 45%).
- Year 9: Bryte covers 40% (purchaser pays 60%).
- Year 10: Bryte covers 25% (purchaser pays 75%).
Technology component coverage
Bryte warrants that the technology components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for up to 4 years from the delivery date, according to the following schedule:
Years 1–2 (full coverage): Bryte covers the full cost of a covered repair or replacement of the affected technology components. Transportation and shipping costs may apply to the purchaser except where prohibited by law.
Years 3–4 (prorated coverage): Bryte covers a declining percentage of the then-current cost of a covered repair or replacement, and the purchaser pays the remainder, plus applicable shipping, handling, taxes, and service costs except where prohibited by law.
- Year 3: Bryte covers 60% (purchaser pays 40%).
- Year 4: Bryte covers 40% (purchaser pays 60%).
If a covered defect arises and a repair request is received by Bryte within this period, Bryte will, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, repair or replace the affected technology component or the Product with a new or refurbished part or Product. To the extent permitted by law, repair or replacement as described above is your sole and exclusive remedy for a defect in technology components.
Proper setup and use requirements
To maintain warranty coverage, the mattress must be used for normal residential sleep purposes and must be properly supported, powered, and cared for.
Support: The mattress must be placed on a firm, flat, structurally sound foundation, platform, adjustable base, or bed frame capable of supporting the combined weight of the mattress and sleeper(s). If used on a slatted frame, the slats must be at least 3 inches wide and spaced no more than 4 inches apart. Traditional spring box springs or flexible foundations are not appropriate unless they provide firm, even support across the entire mattress.
Power: The mattress must be plugged into a standard 120V household outlet using the power supply provided or approved by Bryte. Any extension cord, power strip, or surge protector used with the Product must be UL- or CSA-listed and appropriately rated for the Product.
Care: The mattress should be used with appropriate sheets, bedding, and/or a mattress protector. The law tag must not be removed (see “How to make a warranty claim” below).
Storage: The mattress must be stored in an air conditioned environment; flat, bottom side down, on a solid surface.
What is not covered
This Limited Warranty does not cover, and the following are not defects:
- Normal changes in feel, firmness, comfort, or softness that do not affect the mattress’s intended performance, including an increase in softness of the foam or comfort layer, which is normal and does not affect the pressure-relieving properties of the bed.
- Comfort preference or changes in personal comfort preference.
- Localized firmness changes, normal wear, or discoloration from ordinary use.
- Damage, sagging, or indentation caused by an improper or unsupportive foundation, frame, platform, or adjustable base.
- Damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, improper setup, improper storage, excessive force, jumping or standing on the bed, folding or bending the Product, or use outside normal residential sleep use.
- Burns, cuts, tears, stains, odors, liquid or gel damage, blood or bodily-fluid damage, mold, unsanitary conditions, insect or rodent damage, infestation, smoke damage, or damage from exposure to weather, sunlight, UV light, excessive humidity, or extreme temperatures.
- Damage caused by improper electrical supply (for example, 220V instead of 120V), use with non-approved power supplies, or use with extension cords, power strips, or surge protectors that are not UL- or CSA-listed and appropriately rated.
- Unauthorized opening, repair, tampering, modification, or alteration of the Product or any hardware, software, or firmware component, except for removal of the top fabric cover of the mattress as permitted by Bryte’s instructions.
- Replacement of non-defective components.
- Products purchased from resellers who are not authorized Bryte retailers.
- Products sold as “as-is,” “preconditioned,” “reconditioned,” “used,” “comfort return,” “returned,” “previously owned,” “floor model,” “open box,” or any similar designation indicating the Product was not new and of first quality when sold to the purchaser.
- Use of the Product outside the United States.
Improper placement, support, power, storage, care, or use may void this Limited Warranty to the extent the defect or damage is caused by such improper placement, support, power, storage, care, or use.
How to make a warranty claim
To initiate a warranty claim, email Bryte at hello@bryte.com. Bryte may require the following before evaluating a claim:
- Your name and delivery address.
- Proof of purchase showing the original purchaser, the purchase date, and the authorized seller.
- A photo of the law tag on the Product.
- Photos or videos reasonably requested by Bryte, including of the mattress, the foundation or base, the affected area or component, and the surrounding setup.
- A description of the issue and when it began.
Do not remove the law tag. The law tag contains information Bryte may need to verify the Product and process a warranty claim. Claims may be denied if the law tag is missing or unreadable and Bryte cannot reasonably verify the Product, if requested documentation is not provided, or if Bryte determines that the issue is not covered by this Limited Warranty.
What the customer must do to maintain the warranty
- Keep the original proof of purchase.
- Use a firm, non-spring foundation or base able to support the mattress and its occupants.
- Do not remove the law tag.
- Do not tamper with, modify, or abuse the Product.
- Provide photo or video documentation to Bryte as reasonably requested to complete a warranty claim.
Limitations and your legal rights
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bryte is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to the Product or this Limited Warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
This Limited Warranty is valid only in the jurisdictions where the Products are sold by Bryte or through its authorized reseller or agent, and is valid to the extent permitted by the applicable laws of such jurisdictions.
